About me

Hi my name is Jo and I’m The Rogue Needle Woman. ‘Rogue’ because I like to bend the rules to honour the creative process.

My textile journey started in 1999, when I saw a lace spiderweb that my friend had made which reminded me of the brilliant artist Louise Bourgeois. I was hooked. In 2020 I moved to the Bbox Studios, where I have my workshop.

Specialising in historical/performance costumes, corsets and stays to size and bespoke dress-making. I offer personalised 1-to-1 workshops where you can learn and develop your own passion for sewing. More creations can be found in my webshop.
